What is a CDFA®?

Our divorce process is proven and successful.

5 Steps to an Easier Divorce

1

Complementary 30 min consultation

The first meeting we go over where you are in the process and what you hope for your future. We will discuss the ways that we can help you through the process and save you time and money. We will go over the options to move forward and you tell us if this is the way you want to proceed.

2

Review and sign all necessary forms

Once you have determined that this is how you want to proceed, we will sign the paperwork and you will be provided with a list of the information we need from you to begin the analysis. You will also receive a link so you can upload the information directly to keep it confidential.

3

Comprehensive analysis and one to one meetings

Once all of the information has been submitted, we will analyze it. We raise any questions or request additional information based on that analysis. Once we have the full picture, we schedule meetings with each party to learn what concerns they have as well as what their needs and desires are for resolution.

4

Findings, options, and report delivery

At this meeting, we will go over the analysis and ensure that each party is comfortable and confident with the information. Once everyone fully understands what they have, we begin looking at different options. This may take more than one meeting. We work diligently to be sure that no one gets overwhelmed or feels pressured to make a decision. Once the decisions are made, we issue a report that describes what has been agreed to by both parties.

5

Ongoing support

It is always our recommendation that you take the report to an attorney for review. You will need to file pro se (not represented by an attorney) paperwork or have an attorney draw up the agreement in order to file it in Alabama. We will work with you and the attorney to be sure they have what they need to accurately draft the settlement agreement. Once your divorce is final, we can work with you to be sure that all of the things that you agreed upon are taken care of in a timely manner.

Certified Divorce Financial Analyst

What is a CDFA®?

A Certified Divorce Financial Analyst is a financial professional who has been specially trained to deal with the financial aspects of a divorce. Many people are not aware that there is a specialty that is able to assist them in understanding all of the financial information and options available to them during a divorce. Many believe that attorneys are specially trained in this area, but most are not. Attorneys are incredible resources to understand the law, but are usually limited in their financial knowledge. A CDFA can help clients and attorneys to better serve the interests and needs of people going through divorce.

What Does It Cost?

Options to meet your needs and circumstances!

We offer fixed price and hourly rates to our clients. We discuss with you your needs and situation and you decide which option is best for you. The hourly rate is often a good value for people that are just starting to work through the process and are unsure how they want to proceed. The fixed price is often the best option for people that have decided on a specific course of action and want to know the cost is set.
